Everything You Need to Know About “No Win, No Fee”

At Dwyer Law Group, we believe everyone has the right to reliable legal representation. That’s why we employ a “No Win, No Fee” policy for public liability compensation claims, car injury compensation claims and Queensland workers compensation claims, as well as some other types of compensation claims.

No Win No Fee Compensation Lawyers

In the past, before policies like this existed, it was difficult for low or even average wage earners to access reliable legal advice and representation. This policy opens up the legal system to everybody and gives people of all income types a chance to make their case heard. While some costly law groups in Queensland still charge full fees no matter the outcome of your claim, Dwyer Law Group is dedicated to delivering sound legal advice and exceptional representation at a reasonable cost.

When does “No Win, No Fee” apply?

While “No Win, No Fee” applies on a case-by-case basis, it is a policy that we use in most cases involving public liability compensation claims, car injury compensation claims and Queensland workers compensation claims, as well as other types of compensation claims. In some cases though, we may have to charge upfront costs for claims that take a large amount of complex investigation or are costly to examine. In these cases, we will always discuss costs and make any terms of payment clear before you sign an agreement to become our client.

To find out if your case would be covered under the “No Win, No Fee” policy, fill out our online form with some details about your claim or give us a call on 07 5610 5234.

What happens if the claim is unsuccessful?

If your compensation claim is unsuccessful you will not usually need to pay our legal fee. If the case has required complex investigation, we will have set out a fee for this before taking up your case and made the terms of payment clear to you. All price and payment details are agreed between you and your lawyer before you sign on as a client, meaning we never spring any unexpected costs on you at the end of the case.

What happens if the claim is successful?

If your financial circumstances mean you couldn’t otherwise afford access to the legal system, “No Win, No Fee” gives you a shot at resolving your case fairly. In the event that your compensation claim is successful, you will need to pay for your legal representation. The price is calculated by adding a reasonable “success fee” which by Queensland law is capped at no more than 25% of our regular prices. This protects consumers from paying hefty success fees.

If you’re seeking affordable legal representation for public liability compensation claims, car injury compensation claims and Queensland workers compensation claims or other types of compensation claims, we may be able to help.
